Spector at MGM: How The Grinch Stole Christmas

On How The Grinch Stole Christmas my father and Bob Ogle are credited with Additional Story. Here's a little bit of my dad's uncredited layout work (doing a decent Chuck Jones impersonation on a few). I'm not trying to be a Grinch myself by not posting more of them, but the fact is that I just don't have very many.

Irv also has the distinction of writing the final M-G-M Tom and Jerry cartoon, "Purr-Chance To Dream", which I think was directed by Ben Washam - that was one bizarre cartoon. I don't recall him doing much of anything else at M-G-M with Chuck.

He did a good amount of work at MGM: Horton Hears A Who, The Bear That Wasn't, Pogo, Phantom Toll Booth (totally uncredited on that -- maybe for the best -- although I have a lot of the work), and probably a couple others which escape me at the moment.

Those are great sketchs of Grinch, Max and Cindy Lou Irv did. Thanks for sharing this!
